tropicália
just picked up the tropicália comp on soul jazz. after reading mike powell's review of it, and listening to optimo's awesome tropicália mix, i am really excited to crack it open.

said: i've been listening to this mix a lot lately... more specifically, i've been listeing to the first half of this mix a lot lately... it's fantastic through "Bat Macumba" but falls apart shortly after... starts to sound like a bad mix of zappa/psychadelia/circus music...
still... the first part of the mix is enough to have me interested in the genre.
