if i may focus your attention to the right...
there is a preliminary list of my favorite singles (i tried to be rigorous about this, and there are a number of album tracks i would have rated higher than many of these songs) of 2005. this is very likely to change drastically over the next few weeks, especially the lower half. any comments regarding unexplainable omissions are welcome.

with respect to the "rigorous" idea, are you only listing songs that actual came out as singles? 'cause i don't think schrapnell did. are you not using remixes either?
i don't know if you should count tribulations as a 2005 single. i know it finally got released this year, but i think i first herad it two years ago or so.
glaring omissions: booka shade, koze, ada, r kelly, alexis strum, and of course crazy frog. more if you want essetial remixers (vitalic, holden, eulberg, tiefshwarz, justice, m.a.n.d.y., etc).

i think you might be right about schrapnell... there will be a revision tonight. i'm considering tribulations fair game since i suspect it will make a lot of year end lists....

i'm pretty sure you're the one who hooked me up with touch it, so i don't believe that you haven't heard it... anyway, as i listen to it right now, it's slipping...
specifically, to which ada are you referring? blondie is easily my favorite album from last year that i discovered this year, so i will have to reconsider if there is a proper ada single this year.

what is crazy frog?
i think remixers might make constitute their own list, and i expect the content to be superior to that found on the singles list.
