i ♥ vitalic
wow. found this new ~half hour set a couple of days ago and was thoroughly reminded who the next person i need to catch live is. i can't think of another dj who brings as much pure energy to the decks as this guy, it's amazing how intense his sets sound. like all the lame antics marko haas pulls pretending/trying to be punk-techo, vitalic just effortlessly makes you fucking feel (to misquote kogan, real punks don't wear trucker hats). this music makes me want to dance and scream and light things on fire and listen to this music so loud it makes my ears bleed. it amazes me that he can be more intense than his studio stuff, but this is, and by no insignificant margin.
only a couple of new tunes (or other people's stuff maybe, but who really sounds that much like vitalic?), but he does a great job of stringing together his monster tracks (oh la rock 01, i will never tire of you...). actually, if i had to poo vitalic release/set to keep, it'd probably be this one (edges out his peel session since i've only heard a REALLY crappy rip of it).
mmmm... gonna go listen to it again right now.

said: this set is really fantastic, but does it seem strange to you that it starts off so fierce and, after settling down about 10 min in, never attains the same level of intensity
said: yeah i was hoping for a more massive finish (or even the ep vers of fanfares in toto), but la rock → tecnologic remix → dario is pretty intense... and how awesome is that dude that comes in at 27 mins shouting "make some noise for the vitalic!", so cheesy. then the re-edit of fanfares comes in... i guess the "release" isn't always there in this set, but the tension def is.
do you have the peel session?
said: i do have the peel session and concur that this is the preferred mix, in part because the sound quality is significantly better.
