fuck this year end shit,
woebot went and wrote up his top 100 records ever. i've only heard like ten of his picks, but shit does it look really interesting. i want to go listen to about half of them right now. this might be particularly enticing to og:
31. Total: What About Usif anyone has any of these that i don't, hook me up...
R'n'B. Timbaland's greatest moment bar none and practically impossible to find (the Puffy remix on the other hand is ubiquitous). The collision of the paranormal beat-boxing and the girl's vocals is near perfect.

said: sweet, that's what i was hoping.
said: i discovered fela kuti (#67) last night while very high... i was feeling a bit dizzy so i walked inside and laid on my friend's couch while it was playing... i was completely hypnotized... will promptly demand that it be shared with me...
also unbelievably fantastic while stoned: king tubby...
said: haha, dub + weed in being a good combo shocker!
i just acquired an assortment of his picks last night: vashti bunyan - just another diamond day, can - tago mago, afrika bambaata - death mix throwdown, john cale - paris 1919, the meters - look-ka py py, my bloody valentine - you made me realise ep, neu! - neu! 75, pere ubu - the modern dance, suicide - suicide.
so far i've listened to vashti, cale, riley, and mbv, and they've all been great. i was particularly surprised to find myself liking the vasti record, as she def did not seem like something i'd be into, but it's great.
