it feels like this track has been around forever though, but yeah, the rex mix is new....and like everything else he does...oh so good. u heard his track on kompakt 6?

i like it, but it didn't blow me away like most of his stuff. unlike most of the other remixes, my favorite parts weren't necessarily the "rexiness" of it, but rather that it was another ok version of a good song. i guess i like most of his remixes so much becasue they are so focused. obv they are "maximal house", but the precision with which he pinpoints a few key elements of a song that he then proceeds to blow the fuck up and make work has the whiff of functional minimalism to me. i def didn't get that feeling from this remix; he seemed unsure of exactly what lens to disort things though, and it ended up lacking the elegence that most of his stuff possesses. i'll give it a few more tries, but that's my current opinion.

the track on total 6 is the b-side to kompat102, his frequency ep. mayer played it when we saw him, ever since it's been my favorite of mr the dog's tunes.
