hangover symphonies & sweaty sundays

i moved out of our house today, was sad to leave. i listened to this song on repeat for a few hours late last night while packing. ada dials the nostalgia up to 11, and i am such a sucker for it. what a beautiful remix.

og said: this song is fantastic. and considering how much i liked their full length, i'm a bit disappointed that you didn't turn me on to this song sooner. i think i will be actively seeking out more of ada's work in the future.

rmd said: which "their" are you referring to? ada, or international pony? both are great, but ada's just a solo artist and i wasn't aware of an international pony album out yet. when i discovered this remix i tracked doen the rest of ada's discography, most of it is pretty great. have you heard the blondix ep's? two fantastic remixes out of four tracks; dj koze (part(/main man?) of international pony) remixed eve, and michael mayer/tobias thomas remixed maps. the maps mix is just a slight tweaking, but man does it sound great (would love to hear it on the floor). unfortunately it's the only other tracks of ada in complete blissout mode that i've found, i wish she's make more of this kind of stuff. the koze remix is his usually freaky shit, and as usual it's killer.

og said: i said "their" referring to ada, thinking ada was plural. i haven't heard any of the blondix ep(s), though i obviously would like to...

rmd said: the blondix 12"s are, as i said, pretty stellar. i need to get ahold of them on vinyl, along with the international pony remix. fyi i think ada and superpitcher are coming through the west coast this fall.
