Pretty cool. It seems like everyone has the answer for greater food production based on their wacky, new-age fertilizer/amendment/magnetic resonance water treatment, but everyone is also very nice. Repping the North Portland Farm, networking with cool people, selling DVD’s. Jade and I saw the fantastic Wes Jackson and the wonderful (albeit longwinded) Frances Moore Lappe give the opening plenary, but we’ve self-ghettoized ourselves to the exhibitor tent since. Tomorrow we can go see Eliot Coleman duke it out with a large scale organic grower and the CE-Yo of Stonyfield Farm (his parsing, not mine). Should be a rumble. The weather is apocalyptic. Rain, wind, rain. And so many free samples.
